Apple Watch不僅是一個配件，還救了一位12歲女童的命！一名12歲女童因為Apple Watch的心率感測功能，發出異常通知，意外發現女童罹患了罕見的癌症，及時挽回一命。
根據外媒報導，12歲的女童Imani Miles平時就有配戴Apple Watch，但某一天晚上，手錶不斷發出嗶嗶聲，警告心率異常過高，女童母親Jessica Kitchen很機警，「因為它以前從未發生過（通知）」，馬上帶女兒就醫，醫生診斷女童有闌尾炎，醫生進行手術將其闌尾切除。
不過手術過程中，醫生發現該處有罕見的「闌尾腫瘤」，也是一種神經內分泌腫瘤，對兒童來說相當罕見，且癌細胞已擴散至Imani身體其他部位，需再次施行手術去除，幸好Imani至今一切安好，母親也鬆了一口氣，她說：「如果她沒有Apple Watch，拖延病情下，情況可能會更糟」。
