有媒體報導指民進黨台北市長候選人陳時中要賣出在高雄的閒置豪宅，質疑炒房，陳時中今天(19日)受訪時表示，此屋已購置近11年，在他決定不去高雄後就想售出，只是一直沒賣掉，「說炒房真的是抹黑」。
有媒體指陳時中在選前要賣掉名下位於高雄市亞洲新灣區，有南部「第一豪宅」之稱的「國硯大廈」的毛胚屋，房仲估計獲利可望上看新台幣千萬，被質疑炒房。
陳時中陣營昨深夜澄清這是陳時中為退休後規劃所購，但之後因出任官職續留台北，沒有積極處分，因此多年來都未賣出，並強調若是為炒房，怎會一放10年？
陳時中今天上午在出席海內外學術界後援會誓師大會受訪時表示，因為覺得自己去高雄的可能性不大，加上負債較高，所以早就委託親友或仲介出售。陳時中：『(原音)我決定不去高雄之後就想把它售出，只是一直在職務上有時候忙，我委託的人大概也就是高雄以前房子也不好賣，就是這樣子放著。我買了大概從預售屋到現在也10年、11年了吧。沒有這樣子在炒房的啦，講炒房真的是抹黑了。』
對於國民黨質疑陳時中將非自用住宅申報為自用住宅，且他與太太的債務在5年半就還了1,480多萬。陳時中則說明他有薪水，他太太也有收入，且一般都會以價格較高的房子申報為自用住宅。
另外，對於衛福部長薛瑞元昨晚在陳時中廟口開講時指對手挑動對陳時中的仇恨值，是因為陳時中擋了疫苗掮客的財路。陳時中說，或許當時有些人採購疫苗時不合程序，因此有些不滿，但一切都是依法行事。他也藉WHO希望未來縮小合約保密範圍，證實合約保密一事所言不虛。陳時中：『(原音)這兩天看到WHO現在正在協商，希望未來的合約的保密範圍能夠縮小，可見得原來的全世界的合約都是在保密的，沒有保密的都是違規。』
陳時中表示，他也希望未來保密範圍能縮小一點，便可盡早公布相關合約。
